National Science Olympiad 2023-24: Science Olympiad Foundation has released the dates of SOF NSO Exam 2023, if you also want to apply for it, then you can apply directly from the link given below. SOF NSO 2023 exam will conducted on 17 October, 21 November and 5 December 2023.
Schools can select a date to conduct SOF NSO and then inform everyone, so that candidates can prepare early so that they can get selected in this examination. According to everyone’s convenience. Level 2 examination will be conducted in February 2024, and only those who have passed the first examination can participate in this examination. National Science Olympiad 2023-24
NSO 2022-23 Level 2 exam was held on February 12, 2023. NSO Level 2 Exam Result: This exam will be conducted on March 23, 2023 at 3:30 pm. Students can check their NSO exam date and venue on the official website by using their roll number. NSO Level 2 exam was held in February 2023.
Science Olympiad Foundation will release the SOF NSO Result for Level 1 Exam on January 4, 2023, you can easily check your result from the official website given below. NSO Result 2022-23 Level 1 available online at sofworld.org. To check SOF Level 1 NSO Result 2022, students have to enter the roll number, only after that you will be able to check your result. SOF NSO Exam 2022 was held on October 18, November 3 and December 1, 2022.

NSO Eligibility Criteria 2023
According to NSO eligibility criteria, students of classes 1st to 12th are eligible to appear for the 1st level Olympiad. No minimum marks are required.
- Students who qualify for the 2nd level exam include:
- Top 5% of students class-wise, who appear for the 1st level exam,
- Top 25 rank holders zone-wise and class-wise, and
- Class toppers from each participating school where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam & scores 50% qualifying marks. In case registration is received section-wise, students with highest marks, irrespective of the section will qualify for the 2nd level. For the section-wise registrations, winner(s) of the gold medal may not necessarily qualify for the second level.
Students from classes 1 and 2 are not required to appear for the 2nd level NSO exam and are ranked based on their performance in the first level.

National Science Olympiad 2023 Application Fee
- The registration fee for the students of schools in India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, & Nepal is Rs. 125/- (including GST) per student/ Olympiad.
- There is no fee applicable for students suffering from any major physical disability.
- The Indian students whose parent was martyred during defrent operations also need not pay the application fee.
- The application fee for other countries is US$9.
National Science Olympiad (NSO) 2023 Application Form (Registration Process)
Interested and eligible candidates who want to apply can apply directly through their schools, apart from this the application cannot be made through any other means. SOF does not accept individual applications from students. The complete details related to the 25th National Science Olympiad are as follows.
- The school needs to contact the Science Olympiad Foundation in order to get registered.
- After that, registered schools will receive a prospectus and registration forms from the SOF
- It is mandatory for the school to have a minimum of 10 interested students in order to get registered.
- In case any school wants to get the prospectus without getting registered then it can get it by sending an email at info@sofworld.org or by giving a call at 0124-4951200.
- After getting the registration form, the school needs to get the registration form filled by their students.
- Please note that the details entered in the registration form must be accurate. In case of incorrect or fabricated details, the registration form might get rejected.
- Finally, the school has to submit the duly filled registration forms along with the student’s registration sheet to the SOF’s office before the last date.

NSO Exam Pattern
Level – 1:
- The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.
- The level 1 exam consists of 35 objective multiple-choice questions for classes 1st to 4th. For Classes 5th to 12th students need to answer 50 objective multiple choice questions.
- Questions in the examination will be asked in English language only.
- There are separate question papers for each class.

Level 2: The level 2 is conducted for class 3rd to 12th students. The qualifiers to 2nd round includes the following.
- At School Level: Class topper where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam & scores at least 50% qualifying marks.
- At Zone/State Level: Top 25 rank holders from each Zone and each class
- At International Level: Top 5% of candidates, class-wise, who appear in the 1st level exam internationally.

Who is eligible for National Science Olympiad 2023?
Must have completed their secondary education in the year 2023 or prior with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Biology as core subjects. Must register and take the NSO exam on the dates and timing declared by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF).
What is the date of Olympiad exam in 2023?
WHAT IS THE DATE OF OLYMPIAD EXAM? The Online Olympiad Exams of 2023-24 are scheduled from 11th December, 2023 (Slot 1 of Round 1) and 08th January 2024 (Slot 2 of Round 1). The schools registering for Offline Olympiad Exams of 2023-24 will have the exams starting from 04th December, 2023 (Round 1).
